Can I give no stars? Had been going to the 57th St. salon for years with Lana. I originally liked her but, it’s like she doesn’t care anymore. I have been burned several times with the hair dryer she put me under for balayage and also when Lana has given me a blow out. When I’ve mentioned this she didn’t even say “sorry” and then she burned me AGAIN. She doesn’t care about her clients. In the last year, they have a new person at the front desk who is rude and most recently when I called to ask about the new prices (for the new year) she wouldn’t give the price over the phone after I had made an appt. So rude, I will take my business elsewhere, thank you.

I received a great haircut from Omega. He listened to everything I said and answered any questions I had. He also offered recommendations and suggestions throughout the cut as well as tips for styling my hair after. I would definitely go back to Omega again.

I visited today to get my haircut and the woman who cut my hair was so unprofessional and rude! Although I explained to her what I want with very clear photos she did not understand at all and she got frustrated as if trying to understand what customers want was not her job! She kept her rude behavior and when I told her I was not happy with the end result she told me that she is done and we should call it off. She stopped cutting without trimming my front layers. What kind of behavior this is!!!! Yes you are cheap but now I have to go to another hairdresser again so actually, you cost people more money. I would never recommend this place to anyone! I will share all my social media accounts and warn New Yorkers not to visit you

I never write a review, but thought this should not go unnoticed. I recently had a haircut with "Glitter" at the 57th St. location. When I stepped into the studio it was 1pm and when I was ushered out of the chair it was 1:25pm. Never in my life have I had a haircut that quickly. Please note that this timing INCLUDED a hair wash (the woman who washed my hair was lovely and very thorough). Glitter said she would trim my hair after the blow dry and frame my face with angular pieces. She instead gave me blunt curtain bangs that are too short/uneven and will take months to grow out properly. I understand that I have thin hair and opportunities are limited, however, I've never had a hair appointment with that little of attention to detail. While I was leaving the studio, I overheard her say "Great, I have extra time to grab pizza before my next appointment." After paying $75 with a 20% tip, I expect greater attention to detail and professionalism. While I cannot speak of other Dramatics hair stylists, I have warned all of my friends and colleagues to steer clear of this establishment.

Only giving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. Worst customer service I have ever received at a salon. Avoid Moshe at all costs, he is rude and unprofessional. I gladly gave my business elsewhere and got the haircut I wanted, which he was not willing to give me or reach a compromise on.

I don't want this to posted, I really enjoy coming to Dramatics on 57th Street, but I have to be honest I was not happy with my cut today. I wanted very MINIMAL long layers.... my curly hair curls differently and if the top layer is too short I really really do not like it and that is what happened. I was looking for a phone number but this seems like the only way I can comment about my cut. Passion is great, friendly and professional but I have to speak up because I am frustrated and not happy. I was in last week at 57 st and there was no hand sanitizer or wiping down of any common spaces or individual seats after each client. Furthermore the front desk said they didn’t have any wipes and the stylists told me they were not provided with the essentials to wipe down. Shame on you Dramatics 57! Major failure to protect your staff and clients. Just horrible,

Topaz is the best stylist and hair cutter for men I’ve encountered in NYC! Period. She is attentive, makes suggestions for hair health, and always cuts in an efficient and timely manner if necessary. I had a horrendous haircut in 2012 at another salon, and she saved me— been going ever since. Keep up the good work!

I have been always very skeptical about hairdressers in NYC but Topaz was great! She listened to my requests, she analyzed my hair really carefully ans she made a great haircut easy to manage also by myself. Not easy with my wavy and thick hair!

TOPAZ is wonderful colorist. She has a well trained eye and she does an outstanding job each time. Topaz keeps up with the newest techniques, continues to attend (and give) trainings. She is lovely, personable, gentle, but most importantly she is skilled. I can't say enough about her talent. She has been my stylist for over 16 years. Never a misstep.

Karma is great - always knows what I want, always does a great job, and she makes suggestions for products that I have purchased and loved because of her advice. I recently went for a haircut after work and was greeted by Mimosa at the front desk - I was early, but she was very accommodating - offered me water, assured me I would be waiting only a few minutes while Karma finished up with another client. When I was checking out at the end, Mimosa offered info about product promotions and was friendly and had a great sense of humor. I love this location - everyone is always at the top of their game!

I was paying triple what I am charged at Dramatics for a cut and color and was never completely happy. I began having my hair cut and colored with Topaz about 4 months ago and I cannot tell you how many people stop me and ask me where I get my hair done -this NEVER happened before. I highly recommend Topaz for anything you need. Petra

Karma did a beautiful job with my super chic bob! I wanted it slightly asymetrical and she knew just what to do. I was impressed with how quickly she worked though I would have liked a more gentle hair wash. Her nails caught in my hair and she didn't seem to notice when I grimaced or said ouch.

Stretch, my hair stylist, helped me transform a "meh" haircut I got literally two days earlier to a camera-ready, snazzy yet mature cut. He followed my needs and obviously listened to all my instructions, asking questions and taking time when necessary. He did incredibly detailed work, and did an amazing job for the simple price paid. Stretch is fabulous!!!
